Finance & technology sectors drive Excel growth in Scotland

IT infrastructure specialist Excel I.T. is investing additional resources in Scotland in response to a growing portfolio of work north of the border.

Excel, which builds and supports IT infrastructure, networks and connectivity for a portfolio of blue chip customers across the UK, Europe and beyond, is seeing strong growth in the Scottish financial services and technology sectors.

Excel has recently secured the structured cabling and wireless infrastructure contract for a US technology company opening new offices in Edinburgh.

An ongoing project has seen us rolling out data and power infrastructure at sites across Scotland for a large insurance group.

And a major retail bank project involving structured cabling and electrical work has also generated a strong concentration of work in Scotland.

Excel I.T. Chief Executive Officer Barry Horgan said: “The financial services, insurance and technology sectors are generating significant opportunities for us, principally in Edinburgh and Glasgow but also at sites around Scotland.

“We are already investing in additional resources in response to this demand, and looking at the opportunities in our pipeline we are confident of significant further growth.”
