Global Financial Institution
The challenge set by our client was to refurbish the fibre-optic and copper infrastructure within their building, across 9 of the 13 floors while a building refurbishment was being carried out . This would then enable our client to increase the speed of the core network to 10 Gigabit data transfer speeds, and support the rollout of IP telephony across the site.
Global Private Equity Company
As part of its expansion plans the client had undertaken a review of its existing occupied floors and decided that it needed to take on two additional floors in its current building. The project required the cabling of the new floors and the re-wiring of its existing three floors to the same standard and specification of the newly occupied floors. Additionally, all existing cabling had to be removed.

European expansion in short timescales
One of the world’s leading financial institutions with offices in Europe, the USA and Asia recently turned to Excel I.T. when it was expanding offices in Milan to accommodate additional staff. As it was not possible to expand on the same floor, the only option was the 3rd floor, which had space available and had a riser linking it with existing offices making connectivity between them much easier.

This was a vital project, dependent upon the cabling network connecting 500 staff and systems across 3 floors in two main buildings. Although the buildings legacy cabling infrastructure was still adequate for the organisation’s needs, they recognised that an upgrade would need to be initiated before this became a constraint, which involved considerable planning and world class implementation.
