Mike Dearman joins Excel I.T.

Excel I.T. is delighted to announce that Mike Dearman has joined our Sales Team with immediate effect.

Mike brings many years of experience, know-how and expertise to Excel I.T. having worked in this industry for many years.
Mike began his working career as a student apprentice with Eastern Electricity and on completion of his apprenticeship he joined the Glaxo Pharmaceutical group as an Electrical Technician.

He then made his first foray into the structured cabling market when he joined BICC Cables as an Installation Advisor and sales engineer, before moving to Greengate Cables, a specialist rubber cable manufacturer, and became their Regional Sales Manager for London and the South East.

Following his success in this role he joined Anixter, the world’s largest stockist of Wire & Cable and Data Connectivity products. Initially Mike worked in the wire and cable group serving the oil and gas industry before joining their Communications Division 8 years ago where he worked with a select number of Data Networking companies and end users that included Anixter’s largest EMEA account. During his 25 years he has worked in various senior management roles throughout the UK, mainland Europe and Norway.

Mike lives with his wife Joan on the Hertfordshire/ Essex border, and has a son, James who lives and works in London.
